Hey! This is the first real news post on the site. I’ve been putting this site together for a few months, on the side (mostly on the weekends) and it’s just about ready! I realize that most people probably won’t be checking the website first for updates, as it’s going to be matched to the Public Release schedule found on my gallery sites, and not the Patreon.
Anyway, here’s a little Q&A
Why did you make a website?
It’s always smart to own and control your business. If you’re just posting on gallery sites and social media, ultimately, you’re at the platform holder’s mercy. You art on social media can just be taken down without your consent, and since I’m self employed, that’d be catastrophic. So, for stability, it makes sense to have my own corner of the internet carved out, just for my work.
Will you still be posting to your other sites?
Yes, of course. This website is a backup for my other gallery sites. I want a nice, clean way to just read through my comics, where you don’t need an account to see them, but also JUST for that.
What’s left to do on the website? Future plans?
- I wish I could figure out how to get a big fat NEXT and PREVIOUS button on the comic reader, and I’ll be looking into that
- I need to clean up a couple of the character portraits, i haven’t had time to do all of them, yet.
- Being able to host my animations would be nice, too, but I’m not sure about that. They’re kind of THICC files, and hosting isn’t super cheap! I don’t know anything about embedding video players, either, so, you know~
It’s a bit of a miracle I was able to get this all put together, to be honest! It was pretty tough~
